ne element of design that is growing by leaps and bounds is wood turnings & carvings.  The “legs” are often referred to as posts or columns.  Carvings make up a fast array of elements such as corbels, onlays and counter top brackets.   Since I have been designing for 20 years, I tend to tire of the same ole designs year after year.  This year at KBIS I was pleased to connect with a few new vendors, in addition learn about new styles offered from others!

Here are a few examples of styles that can be seen in just about any neighborhood:

Note the fresh, new style of the last two rows – it is moving away from heavy traditional style and is more clean – transitional and they are sure to be hot sellers!

Visit the RESOURCE page for information and links to these manufacturers and more!   Several of the new styles introduced at KBIS are not yet available in print or digital format – stay tuned!
