On May 6th I had the distinct pleasure of touring an exquisite development, Montaluce Estates and Vineyards, in Dahlonega, Georgia.  Prior to the invitation to attend I knew very little about Montaluce other than it being a new vineyard here in Georgia.

The drive to Dahlonega was typical, being filled with peaceful and winding country roads through the rolling foothills of the mountains.  The air is clean and seems to instantly refreshes my spirit.    I am a lover of nature and Monteluce is just that – while the 400 acres of plans seem out of place for such a remote area, it blended with such harmony to the surrounding area.   I was in awe at the elegant architecture of the development in whole.

Every element of the architecture throughout is Tuscan, truly harmonious with the countryside, a style I greatly admire.   The developers/builders, the Beecham builders, are standing true to their honor and reputation.   It is obvious shortcuts in any arena are no option at Monteluce – delivering an affirmation to the investment that anyone who chooses the distinct pleasure to visit or reside on the beautiful grounds.

Visiting the a few homes, the vineyard, and learning about the wine making process were all enlighting, but I must say that my favorite moment was the privilege of dining in their restaurant.  It became obvious in a short time that Monteluce takes pride in all that they are, that they do, and that they serve!   The currently serve lunch most days and dinner on the weekends.   I will definitely plan to visit the property again with loved ones to once again share in the unique surroundings and offerings located right here in Georgia!

Bringing Tuscany home means enjoying wine with friends.
It means rising to your feet to toast many of life’s large
and small celebrations. It means uncorking three bottles
at once for the table, not the judicious opening of another
only when one is finished.
– Frances Mayes,  Bringing Tuscany Home

Treat yourself to visit Monteluce, you will not be disappointed.  I would like to thank Rob Beecham of Beecham Builders, for conducting the private tour to the Westye Independent Designer’s Forum.   I admire your visions and high standards of excellance.   Monteluce is setting that is like no other .. unless you travel to the West Coast, or maybe Italy? 🙂

Bathroom Safety with Style

Regarding bathroom safety, we often think of boring grab bars and industrial-looking fixtures. But it’s time to change that perception.
