This series is blogging the step by step process of a Modern Makeover! Client is from Marietta, Georgia, and the list includes a Master Bathroom, Bedroom and Kitchen. If you are catching this for the first time, be sure to catch up on past posts!
The day has been consumed with plumbing selections, vanity layout and a little emphasis on the counter top and lighting direction. With little time to spare we were fortunate that Daltile had a showroom just around the corner. With such a defined style (minimal pattern, clean lines), we were through the entire showroom with just a few selections to debate. Knowing that the counter tops were going to be Corian Glacier White, we needed to play this off in the tile.
The Ivory White Matchpoint tile was chosen for being the cleanest of color. The plan is to install this on the shower walls in a vertical running board board.
Several accents were considering, including glass with mixed stones but most were feeling too common, or colors were simply not working with the field tile. Emenee‘s Everest (varied mosaic glass tile) was chosen to give a soft, unique, elegant touch while Daltile’s 12″x12’ Navelli Marfit Linen porcelain was chosen for the floors. The soft color and subtle movement in the floor tile aids in blending the assortment of colors between the field tile on the walls and the mother of pearl.
I’d like to add – this photo simply does not do this gorgeous tile justice!
Here is an illustration of the anticipated design..
Great Grabz offered the perfect accessory to compliment the style with their new Infinity White Grab Bar! No need to feel old with such a stylish accessory. Getting in and out of deep tubs is not easy – always better to be safe, than sorry!
