Family Apprentice
I began working full-time as an apprentice at my father’s family business; a kitchen and bath showroom. We appeared at the local home shows and events in the community every year.
1991
Business Owner
I became the owner of Rajala’s Kitchens as my father transitioned into retirement.

The National Kitchen + Bath Association (NKBA) is a non-profit trade group that promotes professionalism in the kitchen and bath industry. 1997
Hello Atlanta!
The big city was full of career opportunities as the kitchen and bath industry exploded. I chased after bigger dreams and moved to Georgia.
2002
Earned CKD
I earned certification from the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA) as a Certified Kitchen Designer® (CKD). This indicates I specialize in the design, planning, and execution of residential kitchens with extensive knowledge of building codes and mechanical systems.
2010
CAPS
The NAHB Remodelers of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) in collaboration with Home Innovation Research Labs, NAHB 50+ Housing Council, and AARP developed the Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS) program. CAPS professionals provide solutions to educate homeowners on how to live in their homes safely, independently and comfortably — regardless of their age, or ability level. As a seasoned CAPS designer you can trust the design/style do not need to be sacrificed!

AH&L Kitchen Design Contest
It was a privilege to be the initial kitchen design contributor for this kitchen that won Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles‘ Kitchen Design Contest.
My joy, my success, and my growth have been deeply rooted with supportive vendors, friendly colleagues, valuable contractors and most of all exceptional clientele. My gratitude is refreshed after each project and years comes to a rewarding close.
